Mission and Vision

The Harpers Ferry Celtic Culture Society (HFCCS) is a 100% volunteer, board-run, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to cultural preservation, education, and community improvement.
Our mission is to celebrate and preserve Celtic heritage—both abroad and within the rich history of West Virginia and the greater Harpers Ferry region. Through fundraising and community-based charity events, we aim to educate the public about Celtic culture while supporting local causes that strengthen and enrich our community.

While HFCCS prioritizes the celebration of Celtic culture, we also strive to foster a community that honors all cultures and embraces the shared values of cultural celebration and preservation from around the world.

Throughout the year, HFCCS hosts a variety of educational and cultural events, culminating in the annual Highland Games of Harpers Ferry. These events not only celebrate Celtic traditions through music, athletics, and dance, but also raise funds and awareness for charitable initiatives and heritage preservation projects that directly benefit our region.

HFCCS is entirely volunteer-driven. Every event, project, and initiative is made possible through the dedication of our members and supporters who share a passion for community, culture, and Celtic legacy.
